MORE ABOUT NORTHWEST CHEERLEADING
When will practices start?
We are still working out the schedule for the new year. We will not be allowed on school grounds until July 1 and even then practices will need to be modified. In the meantime, we are exploring ways to connect and stay motivated online. As soon as we have the information, we will share it.

Summer Camp
Each year we typically attend an overnight camp. Due to the circumstances this year we have selected to not attend UCA camp. We think there are still too many unknowns to warrant paying and traveling to a camp this year. This means camp will not be part of the expenses for the year. We are looking at other ways to gain similar experiences to camp so this year will just look a bit different rather than be a loss.

What does cheerleading cost?
Cheerleading can be expensive. We work with each team member to help figure out exactly what they need. We also set up payment plans to help keep the costs manageable. If you would like more details, please reach out to us directly and we would be happy to talk to you.

General Information about Games and Practices
Practices typically take place in the evening with longer practices during the summer and shorter practices during the school year. Additional practices are scheduled before major events, such as pep assemblies, but are typically included when the schedule is released.
Games during football season are usually on Friday evenings and Saturday mornings. JV and Freshmen may be asked to join at the Friday night Home Varsity games. Games during the basketball season are usually in the evenings on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.

Building/Stunting
We are a building/stunting squad.
Based on current regulations and guidelines we will not start stunting immediately to help maintain physical distancing and limit direct contact.

Competition
Competition this year will be limited to the SWOC competition. This is a conference specific competition and important for us to be involved in. It will nearly be the equivalent of performing a pep assembly.
