FINAL TRYOUT

For your final tryout you need to send in:

Introduction Video

Skills Tryout Video

Introduction Video

  • The introduction video should be one continuous video

  • The video should include the following:

    • Your name

    • What grade you will be in during the 2020-2021 school year

    • Which season(s) you are trying out for

    • What stunt/build positions you can and like to do

    • What tumbling experience you have

  • We also would like for you to answer the following questions:

    • Why are you trying out for the cheerleading team?

    • What is your best characteristic?

    • How should cheerleaders represent their school?

    • What actions or encouragements motivate you best?

    • What is one thing you would change about school if you could?

  • There are no wrong answers. We would just like to get to know you. You can have these questions in front of you during the video; no need to have it memorized.

Tryout Skills Video

  • The tryout video must be one continuous video. We do not want separate videos for each chant, cheer, dance, etc. Start from the beginning and continue all the way through, just like an in-person tryout.

  • Make sure you are dressed according to the dress code

  • State your name at the beginning

  • Include all parts of the tryout material

    • Jumps - hurdler, toe touch, double toe touch

    • Tumbling

    • Cheer

    • Dance - with music

    • Chant 1

    • Chant 2

Send both videos to cheernwhs@gmail.com by 8:00 p.m. Saturday, May 30.

We will continue to post information about the tryout video to help remind everyone and answer questions.
