GENERAL TRYOUT INFORMATION
Tryouts will happen May 25-30
VIRTUAL TRYOUTS:
Due to current restrictions we are not able to hold tryouts in person this year. We are, however, working hard on making virtual tryouts easier for you. If you have a question check the website - right here - and our social media. We're on Twitter and Instagram @cheerNWHS. Still having problems? Send us an email and we'll do our best to help you out!

SQUADS:
There are three squads: Freshmen, Junior Varsity, and Varsity

Incoming Freshmen are eligible to make any of the squads

Incoming Sophomores are eligible to make JV or Varsity

Incoming Juniors are eligible to make JV or Varsity
-
Incoming Seniors are only eligible to make Varsity
SEASONS:
You may tryout for Football Season, Basketball Season, or Both Seasons.

All squad members, regardless of season, will be expected to participate in summer practices, when they occur. We will work to prevent conflicts with other fall sports for Basketball Season only squad members.

You will select which season(s) you are trying out for on your application.
We know this can be overwhelming. It is during "normal" tryouts. This is just the general information. Please continue to our specific tryout page to find links to almost every question and the forms mentioned in the Final Tryout requirements. TRYOUT MATERIAL:
Tryout material will be posted online for you to review and learn. We will post in multiple places and help troubleshoot as much as we can. All material that is posted will need to be included in your final tryout video that you send to us. Material includes:

2 Chants
-
1 Cheer
-
1 Dance
-
Jumps - Hurdler, Toe Touch, Double Toe

Tumbling
FINAL TRYOUT:
For your final tryout you will send in a (2) Videos and all necessary forms. In the videos you must be follow the normal tryout dress code.

VIDEO 1: Intro video - you will give your name, grade for the 2020-21 school year, what season you are trying out for and answer the questions on the Cheerleader Questionnaire.

VIDEO 2: Skills video - you will perform all parts of the tryout video - listed under tryout materials. This must be a continuous video and not separate videos for each chant, jump, etc.

FORMS: Please note forms can be sent at any time ahead of the final videos.
